This piece has a real origin story — and it starts with Strawberry. Strawberry is a Gloucestershire Old Spots pig, a breed that dwindled to just 22 animals in the United States. Thanks to the work of All Alaskan Racing Pigs and The Livestock Conservancy, those numbers are rebuilding one spotted pig at a time. At the fair, Strawberry did what she always does: ran the race, bolted straight to the photo booth, posed for fans, collected her bonus snacks, and was completely, unapologetically herself.

Because that energy, the full-send, zero-hesitation, crowd-working, snack-motivated energy is also the energy of every Bull Terrier who has ever lived. The moment of meeting Strawberry made one thing immediately clear: these two were already the same animal. One of them just needed a powder blue onesie to make it official.
